AI helps improve road safety in cities
AI can greatly contribute to increased road safety in cities and help municipalities make informed decisions that improve safety and comfort for vulnerable road users. This is the conclusion reached by researchers from the School of Engineering (JTH) at Jönköping University in a collaboration with Jönköping Municipality and the technology company Viscando.

Alcohol regulations reduced sales - historical retrospective
Farmgate sales of beer, wine and spirits could become a reality in Sweden by 2025, sparking debate on Swedish alcohol policy. Meanwhile, a study led by researchers at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS), Jönköping University and Umeå University, is investigating the effects of alcohol regulations introduced over a century ago, and how they can still influence policy decisions today. The research shows that alcohol regulations have historically helped to reduce alcohol sales.

Risks of AI disinformation in schools
A two-year research project will start this year that will carry out applied studies in schools in Brazil. The research will look at the effects of disinformation through generative artificial intelligence (AI) in the education system. Through the exchange of experience between Brazilian and Swedish researchers, the results could be applied to Swedish schools in the future.
