School of Education and Communication
Every year, around 500 students complete their higher education programme at the School of Education and Communication. We celebrate this by inviting all graduating students to a closing ceremony.

Registration
Registration open on April 13 and closes on May 15.
The event will be filmed and livestreamed. Read more about our personal data processing here: ju.se/gdpr.
A link to the livestream will be published on this website.
The film will then be available until June 19, 2026.

I haven’t finished all my courses yet; can I still participate?
All students who are registered in their final semester are welcome to participate in the closing ceremony.
How many relatives can I bring to the closing ceremony?
All graduating students are welcome to bring their relatives. We can guarantee seats for at least two relatives per graduating student. The number of seats depends on how many students have registered for the closing ceremony. When registering, please indicate how many tickets you would like in the registration form.
Are children allowed to sit on someone's lap during the ceremony?
No, due to evacuation safety reasons, this is not permitted.
Will the closing ceremony be livestreamed so that friends and family who don’t have tickets can watch the it?
Yes. The link will be published on the Student Web before the closing ceremony.
Do I, as a student, need a ticket for the closing ceremony?
No, you don't need a ticket. However, your relatives will need a ticket to enter.
Is there a cost to participate in the ceremony?
No.
Do I have to pay for the scarf?
No,
What is the dress code?
There is no official dress code for the ceremony, but many people will be dressed formally.
Will I receive a diploma even if I haven’t passed all my courses yet?
The diploma handed out during the ceremony is purely symbolic; it is not the same as your official degree certificate. Even if you haven’t passed all your courses, you will still receive a diploma at the ceremony. However, once all your courses are approved, you need to apply for your official degree certificate.
Will my name be on the diploma?
No, your name will only appear on your official degree certificate.
