• Workshop in academic writing for international students


    In October, the library and the Academic Resource Center will organise workshops in academic writing for international and exchange students. The workshops will focus on academic writing in a Swedish context. Please visit the library's information desk to sign up.
  • Board game evening at the library


    In collaboration with the student association CardBoard, the library organises a board game evening on Thursday, 12 September, 15:30–19:30. Everyone is welcome, both professionals and beginners.
  • Try out Web of Science AI service


    Students and staff at JU have access to Web of Science Research Assistant during September. Research Assistant is a service that uses generative AI in combination with sources from Web of Science in order to search and summarise content. It can also be used for visualisation of data.
  • Time for drop in at the library


    Struggling to find the information you need? Feeling overwhelmed by all the references? Don't worry, the library's drop-in sessions are starting up again on Tuesday, 3 September. You are welcome to join us on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 12:30 to 13:30.

  • Welcome to a new semester!


    On Monday, 19 August, the University Library will return to its regular opening hours. We are open Monday–Thursday 8:00–20:00, Friday 8:00–18:00 and Saturday 11:00–15:00
  • Changes to the loan regulations


    We have made a small adjustment to the loan regulations to clarify how you can see your loan periods and how reminders work.
  • Summer opening hours at the library


    On Monday, 10 June, the library will switch to its summer opening hours. The group rooms on floor 3 will close, but those on floor 2 will be open as usual.
  • See the library's recently acquired books


    Do you want to stay updated on new book acquisitions at the library? Now you can subscribe to different feeds to discover the latest printed books. Choose to follow a predefined category or create your own customized feed.
  • E-books from Springer


    The library now offers access to e-books from Springer published in 2024 in the fields of Business & Management and Computer Science (including Lecture Notes in Computer Science). Additional titles will be added throughout the year. The books can be read on SpringerLink and are searchable in Primo.
  • Changed opening hours during Ascension weekend


    The library is closed from Thursday, 9 May through Sunday, 12 May. The group rooms are open as usual, 6–20.Have a nice weekend!
  • Academic Ceremony exhibition at the library


    Jönköping University will celebrate the Academic Ceremony on Saturday, 4 May. The event will include professor installations and doctoral promotions. An exhibition featuring information about the ceremony and dissertations and other publications from the participating doctors, honorary doctors and professors, is now on display at the library.
  • Changed opening hours 30 April and 1 May


    On Tuesday, 30 April, the library will close at 14:00. The library will be closed on Wednesday, 1 May.
  • Celebrate the World Book Day with the library and JSU Book club!


    On World Book Day on 23 April, the University Library and the JSU Book Club invite you to a joint celebration in the library at 16:00. There will be book recommendations, information about the writing and publishing process, fika and a quiz.
  • Changed opening hours for the library group rooms


    Due to ongoing issues with littering and disruptive behaviour in the group rooms and corridors, we need to close earlier in the evenings. As of Monday 22 April, the corridors are open with a JU card 6–20 every day.
  • Opening hours during Easter


    The library closes at 14:00 on Maundy Thursday, 28 March, and is closed the entire Easter weekend. Welcome back on Tuesday, 2 April at 8:00.Happy Easter!
  • Research funders invest in open access


    The Swedish Research Council, Forte, Formas, and Vinnova have decided to collectively fund publication costs for publishers that exclusively publish fully open access journals. At JU, this means that researchers can publish open access articles free of charge in journals from Frontiers, MJS, and PLOS.
  • Smart database searching


    Do you usually search in databases, but don't really know how to save and manage your material? On Monday, 11 March, 12:30–12:45, the library's mini-lecture is about how to search, save searches and create your own search archive in the database.
  • Tips for reading on a screen


    As a student, you can find much of the literature you need to read in digital format. There are several advantages to reading on a screen. Join us for a brief lecture at the library on Monday, 4 March at 12:45–13:00 where we will share tips to simplify your digital reading experience.
