Good to know about the APA guide
You are probably already familiar with the University Library's guide to reference management according to APA 7. Perhaps you have mostly used the templates for different reference types, but the guide contains so much more.
Here are some tips that are useful to know:
- On the start page of the Reference List, there is a Word document with an example of what a reference list might look like. It includes several different types of references and comments to help you understand what is typical of them.
- The Reference list - common questions page explains what to do if several sources have the same author and were written in the same year, and how to write different author names, such as surnames beginning with von.
- The section on in-text citations, for example, discusses how often you should refer to your sources and how to use parenthetical and narrative citations.
You can always ask us at the information desk or contact us via Ask the Library if you need advice on your reference management.
