New e-resources at the library
We have expanded the library's range of electronic resources. You can now access the Oxford English Dictionary, the Elsevier Reference Collection in materials science and e-books from De Gruyter.
Oxford English Dictionary and other dictionaries from Oxford University Press.
The Oxford English Dictionary is the most important historical dictionary for the English language. The latest complete printed edition was released in 1989 and consisted of 20 volumes. The online version, which we now provide access to, is updated regularly.
We also have access to three other encyclopedias from Oxford University Press:
- Grove Art Online is an encyclopedia of art history, including architectural history.
- Grove Music Online is an encyclopedia of music and music history.
- The Oxford Dictionary of National Biography is a biographical encyclopedia that includes notable British people.
Elsevier Reference Collection: Materials Science and Materials Engineering
Elsevier Reference Collection: Materials Science and Materials Engineering is a package of approximately 20 encyclopedias and other reference works that focus on different areas of materials science. The texts are written by experts in the field and are great sources for basic knowledge of materials.
E-books from De Gruyter
During 2022, we will have trial access to e-books on the De Gruyter Online platform. This involves more than 20,000 academic books in a wide range of subjects. The platform includes books published by De Gruyter but also by university publishers such as Princeton University Press, Harvard University Press and Columbia University Press. The e-books can be found in our search system Primo.
