Congratulations to all newly graduated students
On 17 January, approximately 180 students who have studied nursing, social work and specialist nursing at the School of Health and Welfare (HHJ) and 60 students who have studied the Preschool Teacher programme, Professional Qualification Programme for Teachers and Supplementary Pedagogical programme at the School of Education and Communication (HLK) at Jönköping University graduated. SEK 13.7 million to strengthen international exchanges
Jönköping University (JU) has been awarded just over SEK 13.7 million through the EU's Erasmus+ programme, which aims to promote international educational cooperation. These funds will expand opportunities for student exchanges and staff skills development, further enhancing the university's international profile and commitment to educational excellence.

Shared expertise through EULiST
The first two longer EULiST exchanges in research at Jönköping University (JU) are now taking place at the School of Engineering (JTH)."Our schools have similar projects and expertise, which we can share through EULiST," says Guillaume Pouget, a PhD student at IMT (Institut Mines-Telecom) in Albi in the south of France, who will spend the spring semester at JTH.

A packed auditorium and hopeful students awaited the two former politicians Annie Lööf and Göran Hägglund when they came to Jönköping University (JU) to give a lecture on political communication to students from the School of Education and Communication (HLK) on 17 December.“Being authentic and true to your own values is important, it creates a clear direction about the way forward,” says Annie Lööf.

Fundraising record for “Radio K Bryr Sig”
Last week, Radio K Bryr Sig broadcasted live for 36 hours to raise money for Musikhjälpen, which kicked off on Sunday. The students had a clear goal to raise at least SEK 100,000 - which they achieved.

JU students contribute to new LAN festival
In 2025, a new LAN festival, Glitched, will be launched as a modern meeting place for gamers. The Esports Management & Marketing course, held during the autumn at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) at Jönköping University (JU) under the guidance of Brian McCauley, has given students the opportunity to create new products for the festival.

SEK 2.7 million to train Ukrainian rehabilitation staff
The number of people suffering from war injuries in Ukraine is high and this has increased the need for prosthetists and orthotists in the country. The School of Health and Welfare (HHJ) at Jönköping University (JU) has received SEK 2.7 million from the Swedish Institute (SI) to train staff in Ukraine in prosthetics and orthotics.

Social issues in focus at new conference
On 7 May, the new conference "Framkant Sverige" (Sweden at the forefront) will be held at Jönköping University (JU), where current and important issues such as defence and preparedness, integration, AI and the environment will be discussed.Among the speakers are Joakim Paasikivi, Lieutenant Colonel in the Swedish Armed Forces, and Diamant Salihu, journalist and author. The moderator for the day is Anna Hedenmo, known from the Swedish television programmes "Agenda" and "Min Sanning" (My Truth).

JU students broadcast live for 36 hours to raise money for Music Aid
This year's Radio K Bryr Sig (RKBS) event kicks off on the morning of 3 December and they will be broadcasting live until 22:00 on 4 December. The students are broadcasting in support of this year's Music Aid (Musikhjälpen) theme, “Everyone has the right to survive their pregnancy”.
