Crystal Abidin, who was just named "The 30 Top Thinkers Under 30" by Pacific Standard magazine has become an affiliated researcher of MMTC.
Earlier in the spring semester of 2015, Crystal visited the centre for three months on the MMTC Visiting Doctoral Fellowship Program. She completed her PhD in Social Sciences in February 2016 at the Departments of Anthropology & Sociology, and Communication & Media Studies at the University of Western Australia (UWA). Currently, she is a Research Assistant at Curtin University (Australia).

Zehra Sayed sucessfully defended her doctoral thesis on March 17, making her the 10th PhD graduate of MMTC
On March 17, 2016, Zehra Sayed successfully defended her doctoral thesis in Business Administration. The thesis title is “Postcolonial Perspective on International Knowledge Transfer and Spillover to Indian News Media: From Institutional Duality to Third Space”.

On 8 March, visiting doctoral candidate, Shao Wei, from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand gave a research seminar for faculty at Jönköping International Business School.
